Designed by German Frers and built in Perth, Western Australia, Freight Train has an extensive history of racing in some of the world's toughest ocean races. Most famous was its 1983 win in the Maxi Division of the Sydney to Hobart race. It went on to compete in numerous Sydney to Hobart as well as the Kenwood Cup and the Burns Phillip Maxi Boat Series. Although officially retired from ocean racing, Freight Train is still a regular competitor in local races throughout the Whitsunday Islands.
Freight Train conducts 2 day/2 night Whitsunday sailing holidays taking 18 passengers and 3 crew throughout the World Heritage Listed Whitsunday Islands. Experience fantastic snorkelling throughout the Whitsundays or sunbathe on the world famous Whitehaven Beach. Freight Train is a great combination of all the activities available in the Whitsunday Islands!
